Water-resilient agriculture

Making more of available water

My research examines how cropping systems can use water more effectively as groundwater resources decline. It combines field experiments, crop physiology, and irrigation management.

Circular grass buffer strips

My doctoral research at New Mexico State University investigated native perennial grasses arranged as circular buffer strips within center-pivot agriculture. The work considers rainfall retention, crop microclimate, soil protection, and the response of irrigated maize.

Irrigation strategies for winter canola

My master’s research examined observed and simulated responses of winter canola to dormant-season and growth-stage irrigation strategies in the Southern High Plains.
